Hand on heart, who can remember the last time they did something like this so truly, with maximum attention and full passion? To be so completely with oneself and to be in the moment, just to perceive and feel what is happening right now, in just this one moment. A first, unique and last moment, because it will never come again, no two are alike, not even remotely. No matter when, how or where, if you manage, just once, for a short time, to really enjoy the moment, then you will find exactly that, over and over again. That the world around us, in every new moment, every day, every hour, minute, second, is constantly, completely and utterly different and completely new, so that we can discover it again and again, for the first time. As children, we were still aware of this. Every day was an adventure, even when we were in the same place for the 100th time.

Hand on heart, when was the last time you were so aware of the world, at least for an hour, and so completely in the moment? I don’t mean the everyday relaxing and being “captivated” by a Netflix series or the umpteenth film that ultimately just repackages the same old story. And yet, few notice because they are not even fully engaged in watching films anymore, I mean not wanting to miss a second of the film because it is the kind of film where every second is a little work of art in itself or when almost every second of a film contributes to the overall effect of a unique moment of enjoyment. A moment in which past and future play no role, because neither the one nor the other really exists, they are only memories and fantasies, whereas this moment is absolutely real and is happening right now. And no memory, no image, no video will be able to capture this moment as you can perceive it right now, with all your senses, if you only enjoy it.
